Rating EcoFlow vs Jackery Portable Power Stations
Product Quality
Based on using several of their products ourselves, feedback from power station distributors, talking to manufacturers of power stations,
EcoFlow’s generators are more full-featured, they tick more boxes, so to speak. They have a longer warranty, every power station has an App with Wifi (only Jackery’s two new generation models do, see our review of the Explorer 300 Plus, and the Explorer 1000 V2). They tend to have more ports, more AC outlets, and more connectivity and expansion options than the equivalent Jackery models.
Both makers products have proven quality and longevity but, in our experience, Jackery’s power stations got the best feedback from users, distributors, manufacturers for their quality.
The EcoFlow River 2 and the Jackery 300 Plus took No. 1 and No.2 spots respectively as the Best 100W-300W Power Stations in the UK.
We’ve rated the EcoFlow Delta 2 as, pound for pound, the best overall power station on the market.
Overall, we couldn’t separate them on this measure. Each has strengths over the other, but overall we rate them as the two producers of the best quality portable power stations in the world. A draw.
Customer Feedback
In terms of reputation in the industry, and among distributors and sellers, who get a lot of feedback from their customers, EcoFlow and Jackery have a mostly positive reputation. There’s little doubt that they’re the two solar generator makers with the best quality products.
We also crunched the numbers for online reviews on this one. Here’s the data we collated for this analysis.

The winner, then, is Jackery.
Product Manufacturing
EcoFlow and Jackery battery generators are both made in China. This is the case for every power station we’re aware of – China is kind of the home of Lithium, so the vast majority of Lithium batteries and products containing large ones, like portable power stations, are made in China.
Both companies have modern, well-equipped factories and use high quality components in their products. The rigour of the factories can be seen in the units themselves, and evidenced by the relatively low return rate, and broadly highly positive reviews for both companies from consumers.
Environment/Social Impact
Jackery have made the environment a hugely important aspect of how their company operates. Their “green factory” has been certified carbon neutral by the TÜV SÜD, the highly regarded German testing and certification company. In 2023, they announced a partnership with the Word Wildlife Fund (WWF), cooperating in endangered species conservation. As of 2023 onwards, all their product packaging is 100% recyclable.
EcoFlow, for their part, have an impressive array of corporate social responsibility schemes, which you can check out here, it’s called Power For All. They have a bank of environmental and social projects, supporting clean energy sources. For example, donating their Delta range power stations to a school in Africa.
Jackery having a carbon neutral factory and committing to entirely eco-friendly packaging wins them the Environment laurels in this category.
Solar Panel Ecosystem
Both companies have a whole ecosystem of solar panels and associated products. That’s something you’d ideally want if you’re interested in using your portable power station as part of a solar system.
Many power stations are compatible with products from other companies, but you’re getting the absolute perfect match in all settings and components if you buy your power station and solar panels from the same company.
Jackery’s solar panels range from 40W to 200W; these solar panels are high quality, and they have all the accessories you need to operate a solar generator setup.
EcoFlow’s array of products for off-grid power is a large step up, though. Their solar panels range from 45W to 400W, and they have a high-grade solar tracker system, as well as a wider range of accessories. They also have additional battery options should you need more power, alternator chargers and various smart devices providing off-grid solutions.
Here’s how we’d describe the difference. Jackery are a company who specialise in portable battery generators and they have a range of complementary solar panels to match. EcoFlow are a company who are built from the ground up as a provider of off-grid power solutions – their product ranges are constructed to provide everything needed to do that – including high-end power stations and solar panels, among others.
EcoFlow for the win, then, on this one.
Company Reliablity
As far as company reliability is concerned, we’re really looking at how reputable the comapny is.
Are they a company who will still be around in 3 years when the product has an issue (with 2 years still left on the warranty!)? Are they based thousand of miles away, and no real recourse to take action?
There are the questions you ask yourself when you’re paying several hundred pounds, or perhaps even thousands of pounds for a product.
Most portable power station makers are based in China, but Jackery and EcoFlow are both American companies, with headquarters in California and Washington respectively. Both have UK websites and UK warehouses where they store your products. But only Jackery have a UK branch, with a UK contact number you can get in touch with. EcoFlow only have a European branch, with the ability to contact their European office.

Conclusion:
In line with their product quality, these two are also the most highly reputable companies in the portable power station market in the UK. They’re easier to contact, have better customer service, and better recourse in the event of a problem with a product. But with their UK branch, Jackery edge just ahead.
Jackery takes the W in this category.
Jackery vs EcoFlow Summary
This is where Jackery vs EcoFlow comes to an end.
Frankly, we’re loathe to declare an overall winner.
We’d like to say it’s so clear cut that we can do that. They’re the two behemoths of the portable power station in the UK for a reason.
Both provide high quality products, are reputable companies who aren’t going to disappear any time soon, and they get some of the most outstanding overall review scores in the whole electronics and power categories.
All we can do is say that, if you really push us to choose betwen Jackery or EcoFlow, then we’ll just base it on pure numbers. Jackery wins 3-1 based on the categories we listed above, with two draws.
